Association World Congress
Attending as participant (no speaking engagements). This congress discusses the many elements that influence an associations development, growth and success; membership, events, governance, advocacy, strategy & partnerships etc. It provides an excellent opportunity to share with and learn from other associations.. A member of the council will attend and bring back some lessons learned, whilst hopefully showcasing the Meetings + Millennials attitude, knowledge and opinions on-site.

This session will be led by millennials currently working in the Meetings and Events Industry and will offer key insights into how millennials think. This session will be both for millennials in the meetings industry who want to become future leaders, but also for directors/CEO of companies/Associations who want to learn how to adapt to ensure they are ready for the future leaders of this industry.

European Association Summit 2017
A member of the council is speaking in a session on association biding procedures together with a Millennial colleague. Elements like site selections, supplier negotiations, staffing and outsourcing etc. will be discussed and debated. We hope to share our views, learn from the other associations in the room, and represent the Millennial voice in the industry.

55th ICCA Congress, Kuching
We were invited by ICCA to give a session about being a millennial within the Meetings Industry. In conjunction with Mindmeeting we designed a comprehensive quiz for senior managers within the meetings industry to test whether their company was ‘Fit for Future Folk’. We then assessed the quiz and discussed how companies could futureproof themselves.

Montreal Association Networking Forum
We were invited by the Montreal Convention Bureau to speak at their annual Association Networking Forum in Paris to discuss the ever changing world of the meetings industry. We gave an insight into how millennials think, and how to ensure you can hire and retain the best millennials in your company, to help shape them into future leaders within the industry.
